Friends don't seem to get it...

My best friend still lives in my hometown. Her parents own a house there but are usually out of the country so she has a pretty sweet place to stay for free.

It's about an hour and 15 minute drive from there to where I live now and prior to getting pregnant - and even at Christmas - I still try to be the one driving there to visit as I can usually use the opportunity to go shopping for a bit too.

Recently my friend and I have been trying to make plans to do something before LO arrives and I have suggested that she come to my house. We've done extensive renos and I thought that it would be great if she came over because it saves me driving over an hour away on my own and she can see our finished house (incl. nursery!).

She was "gung ho" to make plans and we were exchanging messages almost daily but since I suggested she come here she has dissappeared off the face of the earth...
