Bump checklist: Address envelopes for birth announcements?

The bump checklist reccommends that I pick out birth announcments this week and then address all the envelopes in advance. Good idea, but I don't quite understand how you are supposed to do this. Don't you obviously have to wait until the baby is born to have their picture and birth info to order them? The envelopes usually come with the announcements, correct? Or can you get them separate? Also, can anyone reccommend a good site for announcements at a good price? Just a little confused...would appreciate and tips or advice. TIA!
