My friend mentioned to me the other day that since the same doctor that delivered her two boys is also delivering my daughter, she will have an outie belly button. She pulled up her 3 year old son's shirt to show me and it was cute on him, but I do not want my daughter to have an outie. I keep thinking to when she is older and may want to wear a two-piece bathing suit...I don't want her to be self-conscious, and I certainly would be with an outie.
My question is this....I know the shape of a baby's belly button is determined by how the doctor cuts the cord. Would it be out of line to request that this be done in such a way to give my daughter an innie rather than an outie? TIA!
