Purple Splotches?!?!

So last night I got morning sickness (or food poisoning or something!) for the first time...and this morning when I woke up I noticed 6 or 7 purple splotches across my forehead.  I have no idea if these are related to getting sick; they look like broken blood vessels or something but I wasn't really straining much when I threw up.  Has anyone ever had this before? Googling didn't help much so I'll probably call the doctor tomorrow if they are still around, just wondering what someone else's take might be.  Thanks so much!
