$80 video monitor

So I really want a video monitor but DH thinks an audio is just fine and that video monitors are too expensive. I think I can convince him that the Motorola Digital with the 1.5 inch screen is worth it because it is only $80 and not that much more than a good audio one. My question is - do you think I will be able to see enough on the small screen? I might not have a choice, lol. Thanks!
