Keeping name a secret?

So I suggested to my boyfriend a couple of months ago that when we decide on a name it might be a good idea to keep our baby's name a secret until they're born, that way we can avoid the negative comments about the name and they can keep them to themselves once the baby's here (hopefully). Now I really want to tell people what her name will most likely be but now he really wants to keep it a secret ugh lol that's what I get. Is anyone else keeping the name a secret until their baby's born?
