Question regarding chemicals

So long story short..... One of my co-workers got into an car accident and the front of the car (right side) was leaking a ton of fluid. My husband thinks it was radiator fluid. Anywho when I opened the car door to see if she was okay after pulling over, a strong smell hit me in the face and it was very smoky. I noticed the steering wheel had smoke leaking through it. I smelt the smell for like 1-2 minutes. If it was radiator fluid that was producing the smell do you think my baby is okay? Should I be concerned with the smell I inhaled?
