Positive Strep B results and Internal exams?

Hi, ladies.

I'm usually a lurker, but now I have a question that I cannot find any past posts/threads about in the Bump. Please give me some advice. 

Today, after my OB gave me my second internal (which this time was more painful even though I wasn't dilated or effaced at all (at 37.5 weeks)), she told me I tested positive for Strep B. When I came home, I did a little research online, and I read that internals should be avoided if you test positive for Strep B.

Have any of you heard of this? Are any of you positive and still getting internals?
