anyone with asthma? (and rant)

I've been having bad asthma since moving into a new house 3 weeks ago. Benedryl and my rescue inhaler aren't really working for me, so I called my ob/gyn today.

Ob/gyn told me to make an appt with my primary doctor, so I call my primary doctor and find out that he refuses to treat pregnant women, so if I have another asthma episode go to the ER.  Really?? How is it that an insured pregnant woman can't see a doctor in this country??

 Anyone with asthma actually gotten help from a doctor? what did they suggest for medication?
