thoughts and prayers needed- not PG related

My dad's gf has been diagnoised with colon cancer.  My grandma died from this when I was 15 and it was very very hard on my dad.  Only time I have ever seen my father cry is when his mom died and when my parents divorced.  Of course any type of diagnosis with cancer is bad, but I am worried my dad will re-live all this again - what he went thru with his mom- and my grandma was 53 when she pased- so my dad was pretty young too; 37 YO when his mom pased.  Im not very close to the Gf- however I care for my dad and he really cares for her- so I wish her the best!
