Registry concerns...

So I moved out of state a couple of months before I got pregnant. Even though I am meeting people and making friends where I live, still about 90% of the people I know are back home. I don't think I'm going to have the resources to go back again before the baby is born (I've had to make the trip twice in 2 months because of family emergencies) so here's what I did. I posted my baby registry on my facebook. Is this wrong? I did it so it would be convenient for friends and family to see what I need, since I won't be having a shower. But a couple of hours after I did it I wondered what people would think. I just thought I would ask all of you.
