So my mother-in-law hates my pet bird, a cockatiel, and is INSISTING i get rid of "Captain Jack" before the baby comes because "bird dander is dangerous to babies health."

Is there truth to this?
I feel shes biased because shes alergic to birds...
Also, I love Jack, hes 4 and Ive had him since he was featherless and blind and I handfed him at my aunts bird aviary/breeding business. :>
