Co-Sleeper, Moses Basket, Bassinet... Agh!

Wondering what all of you already mom's found most helpful to have in your room when baby first arrived home? I have looked at all of the options and have heard many opinions... I guess I need some more so I am asking you.

Is there a particular one that you found to work great? My husband say's that we can just use the pack n' play in our room but I want to have it downstairs for during the day and having to lug it up and down the stairs is not appealing. 

Any help would be awesome!
