Stomach bug and labor

January 2012 in 3rd Trimester

I am 38 weeks today and one of my fears is to have a stomach flu and then go into labor. Every winter DD and I get one, and I think we have one now. What would happen if you had a bad bug and had went into labor, would they give you something to stop the diarrhea? I would be scared to get an epidural with the fear of not making it to the bathroom. I know this probably sounds irrational but last year Iwe had the worst bug and it's still fresh in my mind.
