For those using the EASY routine

I haven't read the book yet, so please excuse my ignorance. I've been using the EASY routine since my son went through the 8 week "wonder" time (which I call "what happened to my happy baby") early, last week. It's worked pretty well, but was wondering when baby sleeps longer than usual or wakes and doesn't show hunger cues, do you wait a little bit of time before feeding him so he doesn't get too far off schedule or do you wait for him?
