Sick baby, what do I do?

My son is just over two weeks old, and has caught what seems to be a nasty cold. He has a runny nose, a bad cough, red eyes, eating less and is extremely fussy. His tempture is normal. Since he is so young do I need to take him in? Can I give him medicine or do I just let his body fight it it off?
