Stretch marks

I've been using cocoa butter. But I know I can't avoid them on my stomach (i feel like a pink watermelon). But now, I have them on my legs behind my knees, on my hips, and on my upper thighs. I just discovered this now after my 5th trip to the bathroom today. It's so frustrating and now I'm sad. I know they won't go away, but do they at least lighten up a little? I'm never going to be able to wear shorts again, or a dress/skirt that rests above my knees. :(
