Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Flathead (positional plagiocephaly) In babies

My daughter is three months today, and we've noticed for awhile she tends to favour sleeping to one side! No matter how hard we try to face her in the opposite direction at night she switches sides. We've also noticed a little bit of flathead starting and we're actually really concerned! It's next to impossible to carry her around all the time, there are times I need to put her down in order to cook dinner or do the housework. I've heard of pillows that can help it to not get worse but not correct it. Today I went to Toys R Us and the lady there told me the pillows were recalled over 2 years ago because they thought there may have been a link to SIDS in infants! So I'm at a loss, we have been holding her in our arms alot throughout the day to try to keep her off her head. She absolutely hates tummy time right now! I'm wondering if any other mommys are experiencing this same issue, or if theres any advice you could give to us! I can't wait until she can lift her head on her own.

TIA

Amanda
