How often does your baby get the hiccups?

I was just wondering, because my baby has been getting them a lot each day.  I was fine with this and thought it was adorable until I read something in one of my prenatal books.

 It said frequent hiccups can be a sign of cord compression, which could lead to still birth.  It then also said that hiccups are normal and a sign of lung development.
