What's the earliest . . .

What is the earliest you can find out the sex of the baby? I have a 16 week appointment next week and was wondering if it would be possible to see anything then? Especially with EVERYONE asking do you know what it is yet?

Also, I would like to know so I can maybe BUY something. I am anxious and excited.
