2nd Trimester

Recent TV commercial got me to thinking.....

I'm sure some of you have seen the USPS commercial where the family orders a gift, unwraps it and it turns out to be a creepy little clown figure. If not I'm sure you can you tube it and find it. Well, clowns creep me out...BIG TIME!!! I can handle the live ones at the circus for the most part, it is mainly the dolls that literally will make me not go in a room. DH is sort of the same way in that he thinks they are creepy too. I have told my Mom and My MIL that under no circumstances are they to get me or the baby ANYTHING even remotely related to clowns ever. They agreed, but now here is my dilemma. What are the chances of getting something clown related at the baby shower? I don't want to dictate what people buy out of the generosity of their hearts, but at the same time, this isn't about being picky, this is a true realized fear of clowns. Should I have the hostesses put something on the invitations about no clown stuff, or just let it go and see what happens?
