When did you (or when do you plan to) start putting your baby down sleepy bo wake so they learn to self soothe? Lately, we've gotten in to the habit of nursing to sleep. Our pediatrician suggested we start to adjust our routine so that our baby learns to go to sleep on his own. There will be a night or two in the next several weeks where my husband and I won't be home for bedtime, so we need to find another sleep solution. I've been reading about all of the different approaches (Ferber, CIO, etc). Any advice/suggestions on where to start? What not to do? My baby is 9wks old. Is that too young to expect him to learn to fall asleep on his own?
