having extra help

Would moms here suggest having someone stay with you for a few days after baby comes home to help out? This will be our first baby so we don't totally know what to expect.

Part of me would love for my mom (who has already offered to do so) come stay for a few days and help out....and part of me feels like it would be great to have time alone with me, hubby & baby. I'm sure we would be fine either way but I'd like some opinions on what moms have experienced.

What do you think?
