Where is baby sleeping?

I'm just curious as to where you are having your newborn sleeping for the first while:

1. in it's crib in its own room

2. in a crib in your room

We were originaly planning on putting the crib in a little area in our room for the first while, but decided it probably wasn't a good idea since my DH then would be disturbed (since he'd still be working).  So we are thinking separate room and maybe putting a bed or something in there so at least one of us can get a good nights sleep.

Wondering what the experts are doing?
