silly question...but still... (cat related)

Is it ok to allow your cats to walk on top of your belly? My cats are incredibly needy and are constantly walking on top of me and laying on me if I am sitting. It usually hurts a little when they are walking on me. One of them weighs about 17 lbs. Don't know if I should stop them from doing this...
