anyone else have this or heard of it???

We had our A/S last Friday. The tech told us immediately that we would have to come back because she knew she wasn't going to be able to get everything she needed. She was able to get some measurements but nothing of the face or spine and very little of the heart. (I go back tomorrow for a follow up A/S)

The DR called after and told us that everything so far looked great but he thinks that the reason the baby isn't showing his face so well is because I have 'a band of tissue from one side of the lower segment of my uterus to the other.'

They said it is a UTERINE SYNCHIAE, not an amniotic band, which is good. He also said that they tend to see this a lot, that it is common, and that it poses no harm to the baby and that it can go away sometimes.

My question is, has/does anyone else had/have this? None of my friends with kids or those that are pregnant have it or have heard of it and even though they say its common and not harmful it still makes me nervous!
