Gerber 1st foods?

I started my DD on gerber 1st apples (I mixed them in with rice cereal).. She hasn't had any adverse reactions to them. My mom freaked out on me saying she's too young, but she keeps them down and they make her less constipated. When have you started your children or when are you planning on starting your kids?
