Screaming when Im tring to burp him

Our lo seems to through a complete tantrum whenever its time to burp him during feedings.  we try to wait every two ounces so he has something in him and doesnt think he is starving but its not helping.  then he gets sooo worked up he spits up and cries more.  we have tried finishing all four ounces but his spit up is worse.  its like he is starving and we are not going to give him any more. anyone have any suggestions?
