question about possible allergy - grunting and groaning

DD seems to be having trouble with gas or something. She is bf'ed and poops at least 5-8 times per day. However she seems to be having trouble. She grunts and groans quite often like she is trying to pass gas or poop. Once she does, she seems to settle, but it takes so long that by the time she finally passes it, it is time to eat again and process starts over again. She takes almost 30 minutes to an hour to burp and if she doesn't burp, she will throw up her food which is a problem since she lies on her back. I fear she will choke on her milk during her sleep. Did this happen to anyone else? Any ideas?
