Is my air purifier safe?

We live in an older home, we've remodeled and love it there but it has a musty/dirty smell. No matter how much or how hard I clean, I just can't seem to get rid of the smell. I recently got an air purifier. After some research, I found out it emits ozone. I know a lot of people use these and I just want to know if they've caused any problems. I'm not one of those people that worry about every little thing but I don't want to do any harm to my baby. I really want to start using it. I'm currently 24 weeks and trying to get my home as cozy and clean as possible.
