Reveal party.. yay or nay?

so this girl told me yesterday that her cousin had a reveal party to find out/ tell everyone the sex of their baby. she said, they had the doctor put the u/s and write on it "boy" or "girl" and put it in an envelope. they invited all of their friends and family over for a party and they opened the envelope.

it sounds like it could be fun...  those who have already found out and told and those who havent, what do yall think? would you do this?
