Do you let LO continue napping in the car seat?

Normally, I wouldn't hesitate to let DS continue to nap in his car seat if we just got home from somewhere, but DS1 goes to his preschool 4 afternoons a week and our routine has turned into this: DS2 gets put into his car seat when we leave and promptly falls asleep.  Sometimes he wakes while we're back at home to eat, then goes right back to sleep again when I put him in the car seat to leave to pick up DS1.  If he doesn't wake to eat, he sometimes will sleep from when we leave to drop off DS1 to sometime after we get back from picking him up from school.  This can be as much as 4+ hours!  I've wondered if I should transfer him to his crib when we get back, so he has more "practice" with crib naps.  Or should I not bother when he's this little?  Is there any point when you think you would take him out of the car seat?
