Thinking ahead to convertible car seats...

Hi ladies, just starting to think ahead to convertible car seats. (The infant seat is ok for now but LO is gaining weight at warp speed and I want to be ahead of the game.) Do you ladies plan on getting 2 seats if you have 2 cars? DH and I have 2 cars, and switch cars often, and will both be driving LO places so I think it only makes sense for us to get 2 seats.

 Also do you want to recommend your seat if you already have one? Or if you don't have one, what are you planning on getting? We have a 2004 Ford Escape and a 2005 Subaru Outback. A little worried about fitting a seat RF in the Subaru...
