Has anyone's LO had tubes?

B is scheduled for Tubes on the 30th. I've been told that it's a relative simple proceedure but I'm freaking myself out over it. I know all kids handle things differently, but can you describe the experience? How long did it take LO to recover? We are just hoping this works for her. Everytime she gets a cold she ends up with a perferated ear drum or severe infection. The ENT doesn't want to wait any longer. I tend to agree but just wish they didn't have to put her under anesthesia. TIA
