Can we talk birth control? (non-hormonal)

Hi ladies -- with my 6 week appt coming up in a couple weeks I'm trying to think about what I want to do for birth control... I have been diagnosed with two benign liver tumors so I've been advised to steer clear of hormonal BC (they told me it was probably the BC pill that caused my tumors in the first place, and although the tumors handled the pregnancy hormones ok I'd still rather not risk it with any extra hormones). Prior to TTC with LO we just used condoms -- annoying -- so I'm just trying to see if there's a better option out there. We probably want to have one more LO in 2-3 years.

I've read a little about Paragard -- anyone have any experiences with it they want to share? Are there other non-hormonal options any of you are using that aren't permanent? TIA!
