Moms of 2+ (re:diapers!)

Anyone can answer this really, but I was looking for input from moms who have gone through stinky, massive diapers.

Up to this point I've been using a diaper genie for my son's diapers, but they are getting so big that it's filling up really quickly and getting SO expensive...

What do you use for disposing of diapers? When we're downstairs we just throw pee diapers in the kitchen garbage, but what on earth am I supposed to do for the smelly ones???
