I had my first u/s this morning. It as so great to actually see that
there is a LO in there! Baby is measuring between 5 wks 6 days and 6 wks
1 day + or - 2 days, depending on the angle. I had myself at 6 wks 3
days based on when I ovulated, so I guess I am right on track. We were
also able to see the heartbeat. So absolutely amazing. I sat there
staring with tears rolling down my face. It finally feels real!!! I go
back in a week for another u/s.
Now for the not so great
news. My bp was REALLY high when I got there 139/107. I've had bp issues
in the past but have not been medicated for the last 2 years, because
off meds, monitoring at home, it's been within the normal range. They
rechecked after my u/s and it came down to 139/100. Had me rest for 5
minutes, it went up to 139/102. Made me lay down for 10 minutes and
checked. It was 140/80 while I was laying down, but up to 139/100 when I
sat up. They let me leave, only because I agreed to go straight to my
drs office.
So, I am now waiting to get in to my gp's office in 45 minutes to have them check me out. I am hoping they agree it was just anxiety, but still guessing they will start me back on a bp med. Anyone know what's safe during pregnancy for bp???
This will be a post and run. I'm headed off to my 11:00 appt and will be back on later, hopefully will good news!
