So this is going to be Evan's joint b-day/Xmas gift...but I don't really like the Thomas themed table and want something a little less busy since it will be in our living room. The pottery barn activity table looks great but it is $200. gulp. Any other ideas? I plan to assemble the track and glue it together - just like barnes and noble - and then glue it to a wooden base that I can put on the table but take off if we want to use it for something else.

Does anyone have a train table? Any tips??
