Travelling question

My MIL just told me that she would like to take us on a vacation the week of Christmas instead of buying Christmas gifts for people. She is wanting to go to Puerto Vallarta. At the time is she wanting to go I would be at the end of my 14th week. I am waiting to hear back from my doctor about whether this is okay or not. Would you go? Obviously I wouldn't be drinking alcoholic beverages or participating in strenuous activities, just relaxing in a beach chair. We haven't told her we are expecting, so if the doctor says no then I am not sure how to tell her "no thanks" without telling her our news.
