HCG/Beta question

I am going in for my 1st appt. Monday - I know they will do blood work and probably get back to me with some levels.

I was wondering some girls have mentioned that their levels didn't double or went down and therefore they knew they were m/c.  I was wondering if they only do two or more if you are high risk/ IF  or do they do that for everyone?

My doc. said they will do blood work then schedule another appt. in about 2 weeks when I am closer to the 8 week point for an u/s.
