Kind of bummed out :(

I have always wanted to go horseback riding.  I've never been.  We were suppose to go on our honeymoon almost 5 years ago, but the place cancelled our reservation. Then for my b-day a couple years ago, DH promised me lessons, but the place he had in mind was only for children.   

In July my grandparents suprised our family by taking all the kids and grandkids to a ranch in upstate New York to celebrate Thanksgiving. Now I won't be able to go horseback riding. 

Yes, I'm aware I'm being selfish and having a pity party, but I really wanted to go.  Good thing we plan on telling the family at Thanksgiving (almost 11 weeks) because they would know something was up if I didn't go riding!

I still may ask my doctor if a slow trail ride would be OK... my fear is getting kicked off the horse or something.
