U/S let down

So today, I went in for the first ultra sound (a little past 6 weeks, I am guessing) and general appointment.  After scaring the pants off of me (literally, I was wearing a super nasty thin paper gown that I kept poking holes in because I was so nervous, AWKWARD!) the doctor went in to do the u/s.... she saw the sac but no baby!  She said the baby was hiding... and that I have a retroverted uterus?!?  She also could not find the heartbeat!  

This is freaking me out.   What do you ladies think?!
