Throwing food?

Anyone else's kid doing this?

Logan has been chucking his food off his tray for a couple of weeks now and it's getting frustrating. He doesn't just do it when he's full and doesn't want anymore, basically as soon as we put the food on the tray, he throws it off.

When he does it, DH and I have been taking his arms, bringing them into his chest, looking right at him, and saying "NO" sternly. Not shouting, but so he knows it's not friendly chat. Then he pretty much looks me right in the eye and chucks something else.

I assume he's beginning to test his boundaries? I have basically had to resort to physically putting the food in his mouth myself, but I don't want to take away his independence, either.

Anyone else have a food thrower? Is it a phase? Any other suggestions?
