Adventure at the drive-in

We decided to take Ian to a local drive-in to see Cars 2 last night. He did amazingly well. He had his nap a little later than usual, and did bath and jammies before we left. We got there about an hour before it started, so we killed time by eating some snacks and playing around outside with some other kids in the picnic area. He started to get really tired and fidgety about 3/4 of the way through, but settled in on his daddy's lap and relaxed.

He paid attention to the whole movie, although I don't think he totally understood why he didn't see all of the same characters from the first movie. It was a decent movie, and the drive-in was definitely a good way to feel out how he'd do in a regular theater. 

ETA: I'm glad there were things in the movie that went over his head. That's all I'll say on it unless someone asks. Don't want to spoil it for anyone.
