paint on wood toys

My LO chewed on some wood shape sorter blocks that were painted (Melissa and Doug brand). Some of the paint came off onto his face and went into his mouth. We wiped most of it out, but undoubtedly, some of it was ingested. I wrote an email to our doctor to see if there was anything we needed to do to f/u, but any opinions in the interim? My husband freaked out over this but I seem to be less worried. Just wondering if I should be more worried. Obviously, we took the toy away and won't be buying anymore painted wooden toys.
