Pregnant after IF

NT Scan Results

My Dr called me w/ my NT scan results. She said Downs risk for someone my age (31) is usually 1 in 400-500, and the test lowered my risk to 1 in 2200, which she said was on par w/ a 20 year old's risk and the best result we could expect. She said the test kept the risk for trisomy 13/18 about the same as it was for someone my age - about 1 in 800something. She said these were normal results - anything under 1 in 234 dor Downs would suggest an amnio and 1 in 100something for Trisomy 13/18 would suggest an amnio, and so in my case she doesn't think there's a need. She said the results of the nucheal fold and the proteins were all normal with the exception of one protein being borderline low. She said the low protein on it's own is probably nothing to worry about, but can signify a placenta issue so in 3rd tri we'll throw in an extra u/s just to check it. She said she was very pleased w/ the results and I can breathe a sigh of relief (w/ understanding no guarantees of course). She was VERY thorough. What do you think??
