Opinions on crib bedding

The first link is for custom bedding that I came up with. I'm not sure it's perfect but it's one of the designs we like a lot.

The second link is a set I found at target for $169 - It's kind of similar, softer though. We would definitely put it in an espresso crib though. So my question, is the first one worth the $450 price tag? Also, what is your opinion on spending a lot on bedding? I don't have any children (obviously) so I don't know if this is one of those traps where spending a lot won't be worth it. What do you think?
