Any long time CDers prefer hook and loop?

I currently prefer hook and loop closures - but we've only been using CDs for 6 months... and I mostly use prefolds with a cover.  We are considering switching to pocket dipes, but I can't decide if I should go snaps or aplix.  Snaps seem like a pain, but I feel like EVERYONE prefers them, so maybe I am missing something.
