Where to Start!?!

So I still have a a while to go until LO gets here, but I know that CD are something we want to use. I was wondering if you used them right from the start, like in the hospital, or not until you got settled at home? Also which type has been your favorite? I am torn between the GroVia and pocket diapers v the AIOs that seem so easy but kinda pricey. Also how many diapers do you need a day on average? TIA
