Cytomegalovirus/Intro

Hi Everyone!

I'm new to this board and was hoping to gain some information from all of you. I am currently 9.5 weeks pregnant with my second child and just found out today that I have an active cytomegalovirus (cmv) infection. It took a few weeks for my doctor to pinpoint what exactly was going on so I initially got the infection when I was around 5 weeks pregnant. I am waiting to hear back to see if this is a primary infection or a recurrent infection, which I hope to find out tomorrow.

Have any of you dealt with this in the past or currently? I'm trying to educate myself on the risks and what I need to prepare for going forward. I know a lot of it will depend on whether this is a primary or recurrent infection, but wanted to see if there were others I could connect with.
